A Landscape Designer, Tomoya Hashiuchi is renowned for creating distinctive Japanese Modern Landscapes which engage between the nature and the human life.
The founder of Hashiuchi Teien Sekkei, Tomoya’s deep understanding of plants and organic materials allows him to create a wide range of modern Japanese landscapes from the design phase through physical construction phase.
TomoyaÅfs work is predominantly residential, institutional, and corporate, including parks, gardens and community spaces in collaboration with acclaimed local architects and designers.
Tomoya was born in Saitama, Japan, and was educated at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and Keio University in Tokyo, where he received his master degree in Urbanism and Landscape architecture. He started his own practice as a landscape designer from April, 2014. Residing in his atelier in Tokyo, he enriches his deep insight of plants in his experimental garden. he also manages a nursery in Saitama to propagate the planting materials to complete his works.
